I am the co-founder and CEO of eRepublik Labs (now part of the Stillfront group that is quoted on Nasdaq First North). I combine this with being a Venture Partner at Atomico advising on new investments in France, Spain & Portugal and Eastern Europe as well as sourcing and accelerating growth in the games, blockchain and the travel vertical.
Established in 2007, eRepublik Labs is a prize winning games studio that gifts you moments of fun and inspires grit through games you can play with friends on any device.
Its first game, “eRepublik.com” was a pioneer in online free to play browser games, when it launched at the end of 2007, more than 10 million players worldwide have enjoyed it over the years.
eRepublik Labs now has an international team of 40 with offices in Dublin and Bucharest as well as a co-development partner studio in Madrid. It launched its first mobile game “Tactical Heroes” in 2014.
5 more games launched in 2015: “Super Monster Mayhem: Rampage”, “Super Block Jumper”, “Cannon Land”, “Twin Shooter Invaders” and “Age of Lords”, the studio’s first commercial success on mobile.
eRepublik Labs latest 2 games are “World at War WW2”, that launched in September 2016 and “War and Peace American Civil War”, that was released in October 2017. Both are hits in the mobile strategy game category. Over 20 million people have or are playing an eRepublik Labs game.
eRepublik Labs received the “GameLab award in 2015” and “Twin Shooter Invaders” won several industry recognitions including a Pocket Gamer Silver award
I am also an angel investor and a non executive board member in several companies (internet, healthcare, games and real estate) such as OhBiBi or Bossa Studios.

Prior to Erepublik Labs, I was with lastminute.com for 6 years right up to its 1.1b$ trade sale to Sabre in 2005 – first as Head of Business Development (UK) then as Marketing and Sales Director (France) and then as Managing Director (Italy).
I hold a BA Honours Degree in International Business & Languages from the European Business School (London). I was a sailing national champion (Portugal) although I now prefer to play chess with one of my 3 kids and am fluent in 5 languages. In 2012 the World Economic Forum (Davos) nominated me as a Young Global Leader (YGL). In 2014 I completed a Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st century program at Harvard University and in 2017, I completed a Transformational Leadership program at the University of Oxford Said Business School.
