Established in 2007, the studio was founded with the vision of crafting multiplayer games that reach as many people as possible, hence the use of free to play from the very beginning.
With offices in Dublin, Madrid and Bucharest, more than 6 million players worldwide have enjoyed its first game eRepublik.com and 1,5 million have already installed the recently launched Age of Lords our latest hit. In 2015, Twin Shooter: Invaders received a Pocket Gamer Silver Award and Erepublik Labs received the innovation award from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Trade.
Prior to Erepublik Labs, Alexis was with lastminute.com for 6 years right up to its 1.1b$ trade sale to Sabre in 2005 – first as Head of Business Development (UK) then as Marketing and Sales Director (France) and then as Managing Director (Italy).
Alexis is also an angel investor with numerous investments mainly in the Internet space in Europe. He is the non-executive chairman of the video and music social entertainment community trilulilu.ro, one of the top 3 Romanian websites and of Zonga.fm the music streaming service with a local difference that powers Vodafone in Romania. More recently, Alexis invested in Jampp one of the top 3 mobile app advertising platforms and in Tjobsrecruit (recruiting service for blue collar workers). He is also a recognized speaker & panelist (CEBIT, La Red Innova, Games Gone Wild, Gamelab, Interactive Entertainment Summit, FICOD, GDC Europe etc.) and guest lecturer on Internet start ups and online games at several Universities
Alexis lives in Madrid, Spain with his wife and 3 kids. He holds a BA Honours Degree in International Business & Languages from the European Business School (London). He is a sailing national champion (Portugal) and is fluent in 5 languages. In 2012 the World Economic Forum (Davos) recognized Alexis as a Young Global Leader (YGL). In 2014 Alexis completed a Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st century program at Harvard University.
